Where is Sleepzone located?
Sleepzone is situated in the centre of Galway city and in very close proximity to the Bus and Train Station as well as pubs, cafes, restaurants, and nightclubs....
What do I need to bring with me to check-in?
We require that all guests checking-in bring a piece of Photo ID with them. Unfortunately we are unable to check in any guest without ID.
What time can I check-in?
Sleepzone Galway offers 24 hour reception service, and guests are welcome to check in anytime. Please keep in mind that the rooms are usually not finished being cleaned until 3pm.
What time is check-out?
We ask all guests to vacate their rooms by 10:00.
Is it possible to check-out later than 10:00?
In order for us to maintain our high standards of cleanliness and to ensure that all rooms are ready by 3pm for check-in, it is unfortunately not possible to extend the check-out time beyond 10:00.
Where can we leave our luggage?
Our guests are welcome to leave their luggage in our luggage room free of charge while on day trips or even just prior to check-in. There are also electronic lockers that can be hired if guests require extra security.
Is there a curfew?
There is no curfew, and there is someone at reception 24 hours a day to assist you. The main doors are locked at approximately 10:00 pm, however the key cards issued for the rooms grant access in and out of the hostel at any time. Our night-porter is on duty from 22:00– 08:00.
Do we need to bring our own bed linens?
We provide clean bed linens for all of our guests, changed daily prior to check-in. For guests staying for longer periods, bed linen is changed every 3 days.
Are bath towels provided?<
Towels can be rented from reception for a €4.00 deposit and a €1.00 charge.
Are there laundry facilities?
Yes, the on-site laundry facilities are just €4.00 for a wash and €3.00 for a dry, detergent is included.
Is there internet access?
We offer FREE internet access to our guests while staying at Sleepzone. We also offer free WiFi access for guests who wish to use their laptops. Please note that there are no printing facilities on site.
Is it possible to book tours at Sleepzone?
We sell tour tickets for the Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, and Connemara at reception. We also sell bus tickets for the Sleepzone Shuttle to Sleepzone Connemara which departs Galway city a number of times a week (See notice at reception for current departure days & times).
Where do the tour buses leave from?
The tour buses depart from Merchant’s Road, just off of Eyre Square. This is approximately a ten minute walk from Sleepzone. The Sleepzone Shuttle bus leaves the city from outside Sleepzone Galway, Bothar na mBan.
Where can I park?
The Dyke Road parking lot is located just down the street. When approaching the car park from Sleepzone, simply continue down Bothar na mBán road and through the traffic lights; the parking lot is on your right. The cost is €4/day, and free from 6:30pm – 8:30am. Please note that this is an outdoor public car park, and cars and belongings are left at the owners’ risk.
How safe is the hostel?
Sleepzone Galway is very safe. Sleepzone has staff available to help guests 24 hours a day should any problems arise. We also have cameras monitoring our common areas, and security staff on site at weekends. The safety and security of our guests is our top priority.
Where is Sleepzone located? Sleepzone is situated 6km (under 4 miles) from the village of Leenane.
How far is it from Galway? It is 56km (35 miles) from Galway city.
If I don’t have my own transport, how can I get to Sleepzone? Bus Eireann offers a daily service in summer ands twice weekly in winter www.buseireann.ie. Galway Tour Company offers a daily jump- off/ jump- on from Sleepzone Galway and Sleepzone Connemara www.galwaytourcompany.com.

Can I rent bicycles, Tennis rackets? New Mountain bikes are available for hire at €10.00 for 4 hours or €15 for a full day. We just require an ID and a deposit of €20 per bike Tennis rackets are free of charge.
Do you have a bar? We do have a resident bar. Bar hours are 19:30 to 23:30. We serve beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks.
Do you sell food? We do have a small selection of food such as pasta, sauces, baked beans and sweet. We do recommend that all guests make a trip to the supermarket before coming to the hostel. Hamilton’s and Gaynor’s pubs in Leenane have a grocery store.
Where do the tour buses leave from? The tour buses depart from the top of the road, 1 mile from the hostel. This is approximately a 15 minute walk from Sleepzone. The Galway Tour Company will pick you up and drop you at Sleepzone Galway.
Where can I park? We have our own parking in front of Sleepzone.

Where is Sleepzone – The Burren located? Sleepzone – The Burren is situated just 100 metres from the main square and bus stop in Lisdoonvarna. It is only minutes walk from pubs, cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets.
How can I get to the Cliffs of Moher from there? Sleepzone – The Burren is only a short drive from the Cliffs. Bus Eireann provide public transport between Lisdoonvarna and the Cliffs several times a day. Alternatively you can rent bicycles at Sleepzone and travel there at your leisure. Some of our guests even choose to walk!

If I don’t have my own transport, how can I get to Sleepzone – The Burren? There are daily bus services from all major airports, cities and towns to Lisdoonvarna where we are located. From Galway and Ennis this is a direct service. For information on times, rates and online booking visit www.buseireann.ie. It is also possible to travel here on one of The Cliffs Of Moher/Burren tours which depart daily from Galway. Galway Tour Company offer a hop-on, hop-off option with stops at Sleepzone – The Burren, Sleepzone Galway and Sleepzone Connemara.
Where can I park? There is a large free car park in the grounds for our guests.
Is there an ATM / cash point nearby? Unfortunately at present there is no cash point in Lisdoonvarna. The nearest facilities are at The Cliffs of Moher and Ennistymon (10 km). Guests should note that not all local pubs and restaurants accept credit cards.
Can I get to the Aran Islands easily? Yes there are several ferries companies operating daily services to/from the Aran Islands. The departure point is only 9km from Sleepzone and you can get to Inisheer, the smallest and most remote of the Aran Islands on a 30 minute ferry ride. Day/Overnight trips to the other islands are also available.
