Burren in Bloom
The Burren in Bloom Festival returns this year with a series of illustrated talks and organised walks throughout the month of May. This festival will give a great insight into the botanical, archaeological, and cultural wealth with its unique wild flowers and ancient sites. See more on www.burreninbloom.com/
Leenane Mountain Walking Festival
The Leenane Mountain Walking Festival takes place from May 4th - 6th. It comprises of a choice of high-level mountain walks or a low-level option, and enjoy a unique combination of mountain and sea along the way.
There will be transport to and from the mountains, including a speedboat across Killary Harbour to Mweelrea Mountain.Tea/coffee and scones will be hosted by a local business at the end of each walk.

Connemara Adventure Challenge
The race will take the format of Gaelforce West with 3 disciplines; trail/mountain running (walking and jogging also accepted!), Kayaking and cycling.This will all take place on the 12th of May at the Killary Adventure Centre in Connemara, Co. Galway.

Galway Early Music Festival
This festival runs from the 17th - 20th of May and features concerts by top international performers, workshops, schools events and music and theatre in the Galway City Museum and in the street.
